Come Celebrate With Us! 

Dear Members and Friends of First United Methodist Church,

You are an important part of the ministry of First Church. Beginning in 1995 you helped support the congregation’s efforts to renew and expand a place for worship, study, service, and fellowship.

Through the great generosity of the church’s many members, friends, and the Memorial Foundation, we have been able to pay off the 1.7 million dollar mortgage in 10 years.

“WE DEDICATE THIS HOUSE….COME CELEBRATE” will commemorate this event and we would like you to come and share in this celebration. On Sunday, April 27, 2008 we will burn the mortgage at both services and dedicate this house to the Glory of God. The narthex and Asbury Room will hold displays of the church before, during and after the 1997-1998 renovation and in true United Methodist fashion the celebration will end with a potluck where you can meet and greet other members and friends of the church.

Please plan on being a part of this celebration.
