Minister of Administration - Reverend Dan Schwerin

Dan received his post at First United Methodist Church in July, 2007. Born in Waukesha, he received his BA in religion from Carroll College and Masters in Divinity at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He and his wife Deb are the parents of two children. Dan has previously been called to serve as Pastor at Stephens UMC in Duncan, OK., Parfreyville UMC, and Still Waters Community UMC. He served as the District Superintendent of Metro South and Metro North Districts just prior to his posting at FUMC.

Dan has been the recipient of the Denman Award for evangelism and an innovative ministries award from the General Board of Global Ministries for ministry with refugees. He loves poetry, sports, Tae Kwan Do, and reading. He currently serves on the General Conference Task Force on Funding Patterns in the UMC and on the North Central Jurisdiction Urban Ministry Network.

Minister of Discipleship - Reverend Kris Androsky

Kris received her post at First United Methodist Church in July, 2007.
She and her husband, Steve are originally from Superior, WI. Prior to her posting at FUMC, Kris served as Associate Pastor of Lake Street UMC in Eau Claire where her ministry primarily focused on Christian Education and Youth Ministry.

Kris attended North Central College in Naperville, IL and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. While in seminary, she served St. James UMC in East Troy, WI. Kris' passion for ministry stems from her love of teaching and learning with others. In her time away from the office, Kris enjoys reading, scrapbooking, crafts and spending time outdoors with Steve.
Pastor of Senior Ministries - Bob Gossett

Bob grew up in central Illinois and attended North Central College in Naperville where he met his wife. After raising a son and daughter of their own, they have recently welcomed their first grandchild.  Bob graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary and then joined the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served churches in Walworth, Brillion, Boscobel, and Clinton, and Our Lord's Church in New Berlin.

Even in retirement, Bob was eager to stay involved in active spiritual leadership. In 2003, he joined the staff at First United Methodist Church as Pastor of Senior Ministries. He feels blessed that he is able to work with the many active and creative senior members, and enjoys being involved with small groups and visiting seniors who are confined to their homes, sharing faith issues with them and their families.

Parish Nurse - Dorothea Honn

Dorothea was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana.  Together she and her husband raised a son and daughter.

In her 40's, Dorothea yearned to continue her education. After a push and blessing from her husband, she began a five-year journey where she completed a Master of Divinity degree, a year of pastoral education and earned parish nursing and chaplaincy certificates. She joined First United Methodist Church 10 years ago and continues to work part-time at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in both nursing and chaplaincy. She greatly enjoys the diversity of her tasks including health education, counseling and advocacy, and is grateful to be at First Church.
Director of Children’s Ministries - Kelly Schoon

Kelly took an unusual route to arrive at First United Methodist Church. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Maryland, she later worked for a time in Washington, D.C. at the White House with her father and brother. There she met her future husband at the United States Naval Academy. What Kelly calls their "trek around the United States,” eventually leading her to Waukesha.

Although Kelly's own children have reached adulthood, youngsters have continued to play an important role in her life. She loves  working with children of all ages and has taught preschool in different locations for thirteen years. Her goal is to make learning about God a wonderful experience for the children of First United Methodist Church. She also wants them to know they are respected and loved.
Director of Youth Ministries - Scott Andrews

Scott was born in St. Croix Falls in northwest Wisconsin.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Spanish from Northern Michigan University in Marquette.  He arrived in his position at First United Methodist Church in 2006 and is excited to be working with youth.  Scott brings with him experience from his own church involvement as a youth, leadership roles in his college ministry, and a desire to love God and to share that love with young people.

Scott has a friendly, easy-going personality and a wide variety of interests, including hiking, rock hunting, playing and inventing board games, and reading.  Responding to a poll, some of Scott’s friends believe you should know the following things about him: Scott has one sister, was in 4-H, is creative and patient, has a superhero alter-ego, and can be persuaded to eat strange foods.
