Come and share with people who care…  The members, friends and staff of the First United Methodist Church of Waukesha welcome you into our community of faith. We invite you to be our guest for worship or any of our activities. 
 
We suggest you begin your visit at the Hospitality Center located in the lobby across from room 221 inside the West entrance. Here you will find Guest Welcome Kits containing important information designed to help first-time visitors feel at home. The center is staffed on Sunday mornings by knowledgeable volunteers who will be happy to answer all of your questions. Ushers, greeters and church members are also available to assist you. Please feel free to ask questions at any time during your visit.
 
Location
Our beautiful, historic building is located in downtown Waukesha at 121 Wisconsin Avenue near the intersection of Wisconsin and Broadway.  Map & Directions
 
Parking
There are two church parking lots, and we have also made arrangements with our business neighbors to use their lots on Sunday mornings. You will find spaces designed especially for visitors in our Wisconsin Ave. lot.  Parking Suggestions & Map
 
Accessibility
The church building and grounds are fully accessible.  Designated parking spaces and elevator access are available at the East entrance off of Wisconsin Avenue.  Ushers are equipped to provide large print Bibles and hearing devices upon request. If you have questions regarding accessibility or special needs, please contact an usher or the Hospitality Center.
 
Child Care
Child care is available for infants and children through age five between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each Sunday morning.  Infant care is located in Room 221. Child care for children aged two-five is located in Room 215.
 
Membership
Membership is not required to attend worship or participate in church activities. Should you be interested in becoming a member, new members are welcomed into the congregation approximately six times per year.  A four-week orientation seminar is available and may be completed before or after accepting membership.  The seminar is strongly encouraged for new members, but is not required.  Please contact a Pastor or visit the Hospitality Center for membership information.

Worship

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. We do not put requirements on participation in Holy Communion because it is God's table, not ours.
 
The Sunday Bulletin outlines the order of service.  It is available from the ushers as well as the tables located at the rear of the sanctuary. Please refer to it as your guide and feel free to participate in all parts of the service.  The Bulletin also includes announcements of the many activities offered to the congregation. Please contact the individuals designated in the announcements for additional information or to arrange to observe or participate in an activity.
