| Mission and UMCOR |
 The
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is the not-for-profit
international humanitarian aid organization of the United Methodist
Church. UMCOR is active in many parts of the world bringing hope,
providing relief from hunger and disasters, and teaching peace. Each
UMCOR mission is identified by an Advance number. Many of the on-going
missions supported by First United Methodist Church are also UMCOR
projects.
Our church supports missions at the local, national, and international
levels both financially and through hands-on opportunities. Money given
to missions goes to the mission committee where it is dispersed to the
intended organizations. Some of the organizations this congregation has
helped are: |

Hands on opportunities are
organized and supported through the First United Methodist Church of
Waukesha Missions Committee, United Methodist Women, Youth and Sunday
school classes and other church sanctioned groups.
