Music Ministries
Music has been a vital element of worship at First United Methodist Church for many years. Adult choirs, a handbell choir, and children's choirs regularly participate in our Sunday morning worship services. We are fortunate to have a fine organist in the person of John Sheaffer, who leads our musical worship experience through service music and wonderful hymn accompaniments.
Many opportunities exist for musicians here. Instrumental music is often
required for anthems sung by Chancel Choir, and it is an essential part of
Spirit Movers.
The congregation enjoys both vocal and instrumental solos as a part of the worship service. Please let any one of our directors know of your musical interests and talents, and we will be in touch. |

The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Greg Carpenter, sings Sunday mornings at
9:00 or 10:30, September through May. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:30 - 9:00
p.m. On the second Sunday of December, the choir presents the sermon in song through an extended choral work. |
