How Are My Contributions Used?
Undesignated Giving:
Each year our unit decides on an amount we
will send as our Pledge to Mission. The pledge is sent to the Women's
Division and is used for mission projects throughout the world. After
payment of expenses, the remainder of our unit’s funds is given to local
missions.
Designated Giving - A Call to Prayer and Self-Denial:
This offering is made once a year. Funds are awarded as grants to U.S. and
overseas mission programs related to the annual theme. Every fourth year,
funds are used for pensions and health care for retired missionaries and
deaconesses for whom the Women's Division is responsible.
Supplementary Gifts:
Funds may be
designated for a specific program or project.
Gift to Mission: Gifts may be given in
memory, honor or special recognition of an individual to undesignated giving.
