Sunday School

Sunday School

First United Methodist Church offers yearlong Sunday school for three-year olds through 5th graders during the 9:00 am and 10:30 am worship services. Children are always welcome to attend the entire worship service. If attending Sunday school, however, they will begin in worship and then will be escorted to Sunday school by teachers and shepherds after Children’s Time. If parents are attending adult classes, children may sit with teachers or shepherds in worship until Children’s Time. Parents are always welcome to accompany children to Sunday school. Children will only be released to a parent or another approved adult after Sunday school, so we ask that you pick up your children immediately after the worship service has ended. In accordance with our Safe Sanctuaries Policy, each classroom has at least two adults.

Sunday School Offering

A big thank you goes out to our Sunday school children and youth! In 2011 they raised $510 which went to Heifer International for a water buffalo, a pig, some trees, and a sheep in an effort to help people around the world. Now in 2012 their offering will go to ministries that benefit the homeless right here in Waukesha. Our goal is to raise $600: $200 each for the overflow shelter, pastor’s emergency fund, and food pantry. Please see the "home" we are building on the Children's Ministry boards. Each brick on our “home” is worth $10.
