Children's Ministries

Ministry with the next generation

Psalm 78:4
“We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.”

Children’s Ministries has the incredible responsibility of ensuring that our children, the next generation, are formed as Christians through learning the Bible, practicing our faith, and experiencing community. Children’s Ministries focus is children from birth through 5th grade. Because parents, families, teachers, and care givers are vitally important in the spiritual formation of children, Children’s Ministries includes all of these people. The primary means of teaching at First United Methodist Church is our Sunday school program which runs yearlong during both services. We also offer Vacation Bible School, G.I.G. (God is Great-our children’s Christmas program), the Carnival, mission drives, nursery care during worship services, and other opportunities for children and families.
