Fellowship

We really do like each other

We believe that being in fellowship with one another is an important part of our faith journey. Everyone should have a group with whom they can laugh, share, seek support and offer care.  Explore the variety of fellowship groups that we offer and find one that connects to your interest.  Or, talk with a staff person or team member if you have an idea for a fellowship group that isn't listed.

Friends and Entrees is a dinner group that meets on the second Saturday of five months during the fall, winter and spring in the homes of the members or larger meeting places. During 2009-2010, it was decided to have full member gatherings in September, November, January, March, and June. There are 2 to 3 hosts per gathering. Everyone attending is assigned to bring one dish to serve. The main entree, soft drinks and coffee are provided by the hosts. This is a good way to get acquainted with your fellow United Methodists on a personal level. The dinner conversations are lively and stimulating.

This is a group that plays softball in the summer and shares a love for card games throughout the year.

3F's is for anyone over 21 years of age. It's a fun night of games, food and fellowship.

an ACBL Sanctioned Game

Looking for something to spice up your Friday night? Let us introduce you to Duplicate Bridge, where each pair of players play the same hands as everyone else, as we make our way around the room during the evening. This gives us the chance to talk with each other, to compare our ideas, and to learn from each other, maybe pick up a few "Tricks of the Trade". Curious? Give this a try! This is the very best game, and the friendliest group of people in town, so if you had half an idea to try Duplicate and make new friends, join us!

First time players play free and the rest of us play for nearly nothing. If you need a partner, please call ahead.

Holy Scrap is a fellowship group that meets once a month to work on their projects and share time together. The primary focus of the group is scrapbooking in all its forms, but people tackle other craft projects sometimes. It is an opportunity to have some dedicated time to work on those things we never get around to at home with all the distractions around us. Participants share ideas, tools and a common passion for capturing the stories of their families in pictures.

Holy Scrap usually meets on the first Saturday of each month. There can be schedule changes because of holidays or the participants’ availability. The group maintains an email reminder and information list to keep people posted on schedules and other things of interest.

Join a group with an interest in Mah Jongg every other Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. Beginners are welcome!

Mah Jongg is a game played with tiles that are stamped with symbols. It is fun but competitive. There are four people with their own set of tiles playing at each table. The object of the game is to assemble a layout of tiles by picking and discarding them. To win a round a person has to complete a specific layout of tiles before the others at the table.
