The objectives of XYZ consist of social interaction providing fun, educational engagement, spiritual growth, worship activities and other enrichment opportunities for folks 50 years and over. Persons who are members of First United Methodist Church and persons in our community are welcome to participate.
Please plan to join XYZ on the second Thursday of each month from September through May. We gather at 11:30 AM..We begin promptly at 12:00 noon with tasty food, served potluck style, friendly fellowship and a healthy dose of fun. Bring your favorite gastronomic delight to share. Everything else is furnished. You are encouraged to bring your favorite friend too!!

Thursday, December 10, 2015, 12:00 noon. Christmas Voices Past and Present. Come bring your ears, your voices, and your hearts as Ina and Jim Heup present a special holiday concert with keyboard, acoustic guitar, recorders, and percussion Ina and Jim will lead favorite carols and also present musical gifts new to your holiday stocking. Featured will be songs the soldiers sang during the First World War’s Christmas Truce of 1914. We will begin with a fine potluck meal at 12:00 noon, followed by the program. Please bring a dish to pass; everything else is furnished.
Thursday, January 14, 2016, 12:00 noon. Come join us for a special program presented by Safe Babies Healthy Families of Waukesha. This organization (just down the street from First Church) has a mission to ensure safe and healthy children through education, support and resources — ultimately breaking destructive cycles that can last for generations. We will begin with a delectable potluck meal at 12:00 noon followed by the program. Please bring a dish to pass; everything else is furnished.
Thursday, February 11, 2016, 12:00 noon. Special Midwinter Concert. The Waukesha West Chamber Choir will present a special midwinter concert in our sanctuary. Waukesha West choirs perform a wide range of music, focusing on a capella literature. The choirs have won many accolades and they have performed with several symphonic groups including the Milwaukee Symphony. The choir concert begins at 12:00 noon, followed by an delicious potluck meal. Please bring a dish to pass; everything else is provided.
Thursday, March 10, 2016, 12:00 noon. Our meeting features the Community Outreach Department of the City of Waukesha. We will begin at 12:00 noon with a luscious potluck meal, followed by the program. Please bring a dish to pass; everything else is furnished.
Thursday, April 14, 2016, 12:00 noon. Our musical feature is The Golden Bells from First Church, directed by Beth Rees. Come and hear “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho,” among other sacred favorites as played with our senior hand bell choir. We begin at at 12:00 noon with a scrumptious potluck meal, followed by the hand bell concert. Please bring a dish to pass; everything else is furnished.
