Charla's Mission

Charla's Mission

Charla's Mission was started in 2003 by long time church member Charla Gempeler who passed away in 2008 after a battle with cancer. It is our privilege to carry out the work she started by continuing the card recycling ministry. We collect used greeting cards (with verses intact) and remake them into cards for purchase.

You are able to support this mission several ways:
Saving your greeting cards
(with verse intact) and bringing them to the church office.

Purchasing cards
, either after first service on advertised Sundays or in the church office during office hours M-F, 8:30 - 3:30.

Creating new cards
. This is a "work from home" project! You can help make the cards either by cutting and assembly or adding the ribbons! Training and supplies are provided.

Recent purchases with the card profits have included soup bowls, soup spoons, 8' and round tables and seed money for the Meals Ministry.

Card making night

Wednesday, November 30th, 6:00 - 8:00 at church, join us to try your hand at making cards.  This can be either a one-time commitment or ongoing opportunity.  Supplies provided.  No experience necessary!
