Music

Vocal Choirs, Handbell Choirs and Instrumental Ensembles

Music is a vital element of our two Sunday morning worship services.

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Greg Carpenter, known area-and-state-wide for his musical skills and enthusiastic leadership, enhances the service with particular attention to the worship theme for the day.

Tower Bells

Tower Bells, also under the direction of Greg Carpenter, plays a five-octave set of Malmark bells, adding the beauty of sound and sight to worship.

10:30am Music Ensemble
The ensemble that provides music for the 10:30am service uses familiar hymns and songs with contemporary accompaniments. Those interested in offering their talents may contact Tom Ajack, coordinator. Because there are no weekday rehersals, this group operates on the principle that one must be able to read music sufficiently to receive the song list and arrive on Sunday morning ready to perform. Current needs are for a second keyboard player to fill in backgrounds and for substitutable bass guitar players.

Youth and Family Artists
Youth and Family Artists, under the leadership of Barb Cleveland, offers intergenerational involvement in the service through liturgical dance, song, a variety of instruments and drumming. Youth and Family Artists offer flexible rehearsal time.

Golden Bells
Golden Bells is a handbell choir primarily for seniors. It offers a fun musical experience and Christian fellowship. Regular rehearsals are Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. This bell choir does not participate in formal worship services but offers two Christmas programs and two programs in the spring at area retirement homes.
